The Reason for Requesting Support Was Proximity and the Website
Please tell us about your company’s business.
Simply put, we are a trading company. We conduct trade transactions related to imports and exports.
What led you to apply for the Business Manager Visa?
The business owner from the parent company in China and their family were going to come to Japan. Since they could not live in Japan without a status of residence, we applied for the visa.
How did you find Touch Immigration Law Firm?
We were simply looking for an office near our own company’s office. We searched online around Omiya and found the website.
Why did you request support from Touch Immigration Law Firm?
The main reason was that it was close to our Japan branch, so we could come and ask questions anytime. We chose them because of the convenience.
Leaving It to Specialists Is Easy and Safe
Did you consider handling it in-house?
I had no intention of doing something troublesome myself. If it could be solved by paying a fee, that was faster. I also saw on the website that the firm had a track record. In that case, leaving everything to them felt more reassuring. Since this was not simply a matter concerning a Japanese company, but probably involved various issues between countries, it is easier to leave such matters to specialists. 
Did you consult other firms?
We contacted several firms, but our company’s issue was not simple and was difficult. There was also the judicial scrivener office that had assisted us when we first registered the Japan branch. It was a very large office in Chiyoda-ku, and we had handled the registration there once. They also introduced us to a related office this time, but since it was in Tokyo, the fees were higher than in Saitama Prefecture. At that time, we searched around and found that this firm could take on the work, so we requested their support.
How long did it take to be approved?
The first time we visited this office was around the beginning of 2022. After that, we asked various questions, and it took about two to three months to collect various documents to some extent. After filing the application, it also took about one to two months to remit the personal funds. The approval notice itself came around mid-June. After the application was completed, it took more than another month to obtain the visa for departure from China, so they were actually able to come to Japan in August.
How many meetings did you have?
We actually met in person about four or five times. Other than that, we exchanged emails frequently. The actual handover of paper documents was only once or twice, and the rest was mainly done through email attachments.

The response was fast. That was reassuring. Since it was our first time, we did not know anything about what each item meant, and they explained everything in an easy-to-understand way. 
What are your future goals?
Our goal is to bring the company into a form similar to a Japanese company.
Do you have any advice for people struggling with visa issues?
I think it is best to ask a specialist rather than an ordinary person. That is much better than making mistakes yourself, going to the Immigration Bureau over and over again, and rewriting documents repeatedly. Circumstances may change, as they did during COVID-19, so I think the best approach is to use the fastest and most reliable method.
