Because a godo-kaisha needs no notarization of its articles, it can be established simply and at low cost. And because its officers have no term of office, there is no registration cost (renewal cost) at the end of each term, which keeps running costs down.
On the other hand, owing to the difference in recognition, the kabushiki-kaisha still tends to carry higher external credibility.
There is no difference between the two in corporate tax rates or in the obligation to enroll in social insurance.
